Multiple loud explosions were reported in Riyadh on 8 November after an early-warning alert from Civil Defense, with the agency later saying the danger had passed, according to the event's summary of reports. Accounts of what was hit, and by whom, differ and remain largely unconfirmed.

A Saudi spokesperson said air defenses intercepted two ballistic missiles and one cruise missile fired at Riyadh, and that another cruise missile targeted the southern region, according to claims in the record. That statement is not among the numbered posts cited here and could not be independently checked.

The account @MenchOsint wrote on X that a direct hit was reported in Riyadh despite the Saudi interception claims. It said Reuters had reported that a tower in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) was damaged by a projectile 1. The post relays Reuters secondhand, and the original Reuters report was not available for review.

A separate Telegram channel, Abu Ali Express, said the financial district was attacked and an Aramco building was damaged as a result of launches from Yemen 2. That channel is a single social media source, and the claim of an Aramco building being damaged does not appear in the other post 12.

Other posts said missiles were also fired at other Saudi cities, including Dammam and the eastern region, but the effect there was unclear. No deaths or injuries have been reported in the material available.

The incident follows several days of regional escalation. A related report on 8 November, itself unconfirmed, described Saudi Arabia intercepting Houthi missiles aimed at Riyadh and the Eastern Province. Earlier that day, Houthi-affiliated sources said air strikes in Sanaa province killed at least 25 people. On 6 November, Houthi-linked media claimed a Saudi strike on a market in Taiz killed about 25, a claim also unconfirmed.

Separately, reports on 6 and 7 November described US strikes in Iran's Hormozgan province, including around Qeshm Island. Those reports were described as reported or unconfirmed, and no link to the Riyadh incident has been established in the available material.
