Ukraine's Air Force said in a Telegram alert early on 7 November that drones were moving from Chernihiv region into Kyiv region on a course for Boryspil, a city east of Kyiv 1. The alert did not report any impacts or casualties.
A later Air Force post warned of a jet-powered drone heading toward Boryspil from the east 3. The posts are short warnings and give no details on the number of drones or their eventual targets.
The alerts came during a larger overnight attack. The news channel NEXTA, citing the Air Force, said Russia struck Ukraine on the night of 7 November with a combined attack using 172 drones and missiles of various types 2. Claims attributed to the Air Force through NEXTA also said 153 targets were neutralized, including 149 drones and four missiles, with hits at 24 locations and debris falling at ten more. The same account said 117 of 137 jet-powered Shahed drones were shot down or suppressed. These figures come from a single relayed account, and the excerpt available does not allow them to be checked independently.
Other reports from the same period describe strikes in the capital. One report said Russian ballistic missiles struck Kyiv, injuring five people and damaging a northern bridge. Separately, Russia said it hit military-industrial, energy and transport targets in Kyiv and Kyiv region. Those claims are described in separate reports and are not covered by the Air Force alerts on Boryspil cited here.
Whether the drones tracked toward Boryspil reached it, were shot down or changed course has not been stated in the available posts.
